When the information superhighway was young we went there for answers. It was an exciting and even magical edition to Encarta. Put a few lines of text into Yahoo or Lycos and what seemed like the totality of the human experience was at our fingertips.
Mostly it was personal homepages. There were tributes to our favorite bands and tidbits about our favorite movies. Yes, all of our answers were here.
Call it the Dead Internet Theory or good old fashioned decay, but the interwebz today are more akin to a misinformation super highway.

Our searches have become such a personal and maybe even an existential game. At one point all of us have asked Google what we should do with our life.
And it was ready to serve… us with ads for work from home business solutions that you can do!
Except you can’t because of the circular click nonsense that never really gives you any information unless you buy their new online business solution system that worked great for this stay at home mom who know makes $10,000 a day!
What’s the business? I don’t know because I wasn’t willing to spend $499 on a 200kb PDF.
It’s some nonsense out there. Our closest friend, the web, has betrayed us. The excitement is gone, all of it is flavorless and cold. And most of it was written by a bot trained to not sound like a bot which totally makes it sound like more of a bot than a bot.
There are no answers here. The internet citizens have failed us.
